010 Black is black. This is a gel pencil with a 2 mm twist-up tip: no sharpening needed, and the tip is fine enough to work right along the lash line.
The gel texture is soft and gives an intense colour result. You can also use it on the waterline. The formula is waterproof and stays put for up to 20 hours.

Does it stay put or does it transfer into my eyelid crease?
This liner is waterproof and smudge proof, so it is built to stay put. If a pencil does transfer, it is almost always down to an oily lid: sebum softens the line and prints it into the crease. Apply it to dry, degreased skin or over an eyeshadow primer, and use no more product than you need.
Can I use it on my waterline?
Yes, this pencil is suitable for the waterline. The soft gel texture grips on the inner rim of the eye as well. Look up, gently pull your lower lid down and draw one calm stroke along the rim. Do not press and do not keep going over it: on the inner rim you need very little product. Keep the tip clean and twist it back into the barrel after use.
How do I remove it?
Because the formula is waterproof, it does not come off with water or a regular cleanser. Use an oil based eye make-up remover or a biphase remover: hold a soaked cotton pad on the eye for ten seconds, then wipe. Rubbing does not help and irritates the thin skin around the eye.
Do I need to sharpen it?
No, this liner is retractable. You twist the tip up a small amount and twist it back after use. Do not wind it out too far, because a long tip breaks easily.
