Banana powder
Banana powder is a pale yellow powder that sets your makeup and brightens your skin at the same time. Its yellow undertone neutralises purple and blue discolouration, such as dark circles under your eyes, and makes redness around your nose less visible. What does banana powder do?
Just like any other setting powder, banana powder absorbs excess oil so your foundation and concealer stay in place and your skin gets shiny less quickly. The difference is the colour. Where a translucent powder is colourless, banana gives a subtle warm, brightening effect. That is why it looks especially good on light to medium and medium to deep skin with a warm or yellow undertone. Got very fair skin with a cool undertone? Then only use it on the areas you want to brighten.
How do you use banana powder?
- Under your eyes: press the powder over your concealer with a puff or a damp sponge. For an extra crisp finish, leave it on for a few minutes and sweep away the rest. That way you use it as a baking powder.
- As a highlight: apply it where you want to bring features forward, like your cheekbones, the centre of your forehead and your chin.
- All over your face: with a large, soft brush for a light, brightened finish.
