Description

The AMC Eyeliner Gel is a gel in a pot that you apply with a separate eyeliner brush. That takes a little more effort than a pen, but you get control in return: you decide how thick the line gets and how far the wing runs.

The gel is extremely highly pigmented, so one layer already gives a deep, matte colour. It dries within 60 seconds and is waterproof and smudge proof after that. 79 is red.

How to use

Dip an eyeliner brush into the gel so that both sides of the brush pick up product.
Wipe the excess gel off the brush.
Draw the line along the lash line in one smooth movement.
Let it dry for 60 seconds. After that it is set and can no longer be corrected.

Does this eyeliner transfer into my eyelid crease?

It is waterproof and smudge proof and sets after 60 seconds. With gel liners, transfer usually comes from an oily lid. Apply it to dry, degreased skin or over an eyeshadow primer, and keep the layer thin: a thick layer stays wet longer and prints into the crease sooner.

Can I use it on my waterline?

This gel is meant for the lash line, not for the inner rim. On the waterline a gel liner does not grip well and tears wash it away. If you want to line the inner rim, use a kohl pencil.

How do I remove it?

A regular cleanser will not do much, because the formula is waterproof. Use an oil based eye make-up remover or a biphase remover: hold a soaked cotton pad on the eye for about ten seconds, then wipe. Rubbing does not help and irritates the skin around the eye.

What do I apply this gel with?

With a separate eyeliner brush. A thin, angled brush gives the sharpest line and the most control over the wing; a straight, flat brush gives a thicker line. Clean the brush after use, otherwise the gel dries in it.

Is this manageable if I have little experience with eyeliner?

A gel with a brush takes more practice than a pen, but it also gives more control. You can build the line in small strokes and correct it with a cotton bud while the gel is still wet. After 60 seconds correcting is no longer possible, so work one eye at a time. If you want something easier, an eye pencil is more forgiving.
