How to determine your skin type
A simple test: wash your face with a mild cleanser, pat it dry and apply nothing for an hour. If your whole face is shiny, you probably have oily skin. If only your T-zone shines and your cheeks feel normal or tight, you have combination skin. If everything feels tight or flaky, your skin is dry. Neither? Then you have normal skin.

For normal skin, it is all about keeping the balance. For oily skin, choose lightweight textures that keep shine in check. Dry skin needs rich creams and humectants, combination skin a smart zone-by-zone approach. If your skin quickly reacts with redness or stinging, take a look at sensitive skin; it can occur alongside any other skin type.
