Gel polish needs different base and top coats than regular nail polish: the gel polish ones cure under a lamp instead of drying in the air. A rubber base gives your nail a bit more body and is also used as a BIAB base. Is there still a sticky layer after curing? With a no-wipe top coat you do not have to wipe it off. If you work with regular nail polish, choose a base and top coat that air dry.
